I admit to thinking most Libertarians were Anne Rand acolytes. This interview opened my mind, though I still think the Democratic Party, with all its flaws, has a better chance of righting the ship. But how cool to interview your brother!

It really was. He's super smart and fair and kind, which is missing from most of the political candidates, or maybe just the coverage of them. I think a Libertarian could start a lot of fruitful discussions that the mainstream parties won't even allow to get started. We shall see! Most likely they'll re-elect their wimpy incumbent Dem guy.

Thanks for bringing this perspective to us. I admit to a judgment (and not a generous one) on Libertarians.Another reminder to keep an open mind and dont' rush to judgment.

Joe has tremendous integrity as a human being and is one of the most thoughtful, wise, and intelligent people I know. Thank you for this insight into his positions during this turbulent political time. Oh, and thanks for the thoughtful (but unnecessary) photo cred. :)

What an excellent interview! Thank you. I enjoyed learning more about Joe and the Libertarian party. I realize now that my values align more with Libertarians than Democrats. Good luck, Joe! I'd vote for you if I lived in your district.

I remember going to the Del Mar Fair when Joe was at the Libertarian booth and he showed me how far right and far left sides of the spectrum had opinions that were as close to Libertarian as to their nominal party.
